Mentorship Programme

The Women4Cyber Greece Mentorship programme is designed to help women improve their skills and advance their cybersecurity careers at all levels. Mentors will provide personal and professional guidance, share their experiences, and help mentees identify and achieve career goals. 

The programme will be held in collaboration with our industry partners. The partnering entities will provide volunteer mentors (women and men of all levels) to the W4C Greece programme. The companies involved will be disclosed when the programme starts.

Cybersecurity is not an easy career path especially for women. We want to give women the opportunity to contribute equally with men in this sector. The mentors coming from the different entities will provide personal and professional guidance, share their experiences, and help mentees identify and achieve their career goals. 

The commitment for each mentor is only a few hours a month, but helping women boost their confidence and get guidance in building a career in a male-dominated sector like the one of cybersecurity is invaluable! 

Key tasks: 

• commit to the 6-month mentor/mentee programme 
• meet with the assigned mentee in a virtual setting once a month (or more if desired) 
• monitor the progress of this mentor/mentee
• participate in periodic surveys and programme dissemination efforts

Selection criteria: 

• Minimum 2-3 years of work experience in the cybersecurity sector

The Women4Cyber ​​Greece chapter is here to support you as you move forward. Engaging in a mentorship programme can help you advance your knowledge and improve your professional development skills, keep track of your professional goals, and create a network for exploring new opportunities. The 6-month mentorship program aims to improve your skills and level in all areas of cybersecurity to prepare for a new career path or to streamline your current one. 

Mentees will be selected by the W4C Mentorship Team after completing your application, and each mentee will be assigned to a mentor based on their experience and career goals.

• commit to the 6-month mentor/mentee programme 
• meet with an assigned mentor once a month (or more if desired)  
• participate with materials/resources provided by the mentor before each meeting  
• participate in periodic surveys and programme dissemination efforts 

Selection criteria: 

• Graduates  
• Women who are willing to change their career path
